I presented a paper at the biennial Transnational Opera Studies Conference (TOSC@) at Cambridge University titled “The Operatic Voice and its Diasporic Imaginary: Feodor Chaliapin in Japanese-occupied Manchukuo.” It was wonderful getting to know so many scholars in the field of opera studies and beyond!
