Presentations at Howard & SEM

I presented a paper at the annual meeting of the Society for Ethnomusicology in Atlanta titled “Harbin-Papa, Berlin-Mama? Inter-Axis Record Circulation and Russian Diaspora.” Then I went to Washington DC, where I gave a colloquium talk at Howard University titled “Borderline Jazz: Dancing the Russian Foxtrot in Chinese Harbin.” I’m grateful to have the chance to share my research in so many different forums this semester!
