Colloquium Talk at the Chinese University of Hong Kong

I was invited by the Chinese University of Hong Kong to give a colloquium talk as part of the Music Department’s 60th Anniversary celebrations. My presentation, “Phonographic Frontiers: The Gramophone and the Russo-Japanese War,” featured several recordings digitized for the first time and new materials from my trip to Portsmouth, NH last September. I am very grateful for the chance to get to know such a wonderful group of scholars working at the forefront of Global Music History!
