Research in Osaka & Nagoya

I had a wonderful time discussing the Russian Grand Opera Company’s tours in Japan over coffee with Dr. Yoriko Morimoto in Nagoya. The following day, I visited Osaka College of Music, where Professor Junko Iguchi helped me search the archives for materials on Russo-Japanese musical exchange in the 1920s and 1930s. I am very grateful to both of them for their generosity and kindness, and excited to grow my professional network in Japan. I came home to California with three new books to read!
